Homeschooled Students
Homeschooled? You’re welcome here!
Benedictine College is the perfect place for homeschooled students to build upon their already strong personal, faith and academic formation. Our commitment to community, faith and scholarship aligns with the reasons families choose to homeschool in the first place: to build strong, healthy relationships; to grow in virtue and knowledge of the faith; and to pursue Truth and excellence in the classroom.
Here at Benedictine College, approximately 20% of your classmates were, like you, homeschooled through high school. (Many more have homeschool experience before high school.) That means you will find yourself in the classroom, the dining hall, your residence hall and on the athletic field with peers who share your family values and your high school experiences.
Our faculty, staff and administration are supportive of homeschooled students, too. Many of them are homeschooling parents or homeschool graduates themselves. And they tell us that homeschoolers are achieving success in the Benedictine College classroom as well. In fact, Benedictine college professors say that students who were homeschooled are detail-oriented, independent, hard-working, prepared for college-level reading, self-directed, confident, dependable and conscientious.
In short, homeschoolers are well-prepared to pursue greatness at Benedictine College.
